Angela Pfaffenberger, Ph.D.Lic.Ac.
Angela Pfaffenberger, Ph.D.Lic.Ac., is a professional with 20 years experience in the field of Oriental medicine. She graduated in 1985 from the New England School of Acupuncture and is licensed by the Oregon Medical Board. Dr. Pfaffenberger earned a Ph.D. in psychology and is currently a part-time faculty member at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine.
Dr. Pfaffenberger presented her psychological research at the Annual Convention of the American Psychological Association in 2005 and 2007. Her academic work has repeatedly been published in peer-reviewed journals.
Karen Kaufman, Ph.D., Lic. Ac.
Karen Kaufman, Ph.D., Lic. Ac. earned her Ph.D. in social psychology at Claremont Graduate
University and subsequently went on to study Chinese Medicine at the International Institute of Chinese Medicine. She has practiced Chinese medicine for three years and integrates Eastern and Western approaches to treating individuals, with a focus on chronic pain and stress management. Karen recently completed a post-doctoral research fellowship (OHSU) in stress research where she studied the use of acupuncture to treat bereaved spouses, and has published in peer-reviewed journals. She also teaches research design to acupuncture doctoral students. Karen enjoys the interplay of patient care, research, and teaching and brings these experiences into the treatment room to provide comprehensive service.
Paul Dilger, B.S.
Paul Dilger, B.S.
is the clinic manager and is usually the first person a new client has contact with. Paul will help you with scheduling and cheerfully answer your questions about insurance coverage. When he is not working in the office, Paul usually roams in the vineyard with his dog, Daki, who is also a greeter in our clinic.
